In a makeshift ordination ceremony under a bridge a homeless man fulfilled a long-time dream of becoming a pastor. Since then, the purpose of Brian Nichols, 47, has stayed beneath that same underpass in downtown Orlando. There, he conducts twice-weekly services for his ministry, the First Vagabonds Church of God. The sanctuary is a parking lot. Its steeple is a highway bridge. And much like moses, the minister knows something of wandering.
