A Horse, A Convict, A Chance for Change

A Documentary Film

At the Wild Horse Program at Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center inmates train wild mustangs to become adoptable to the public. This process creates a deep bond between horse and inmate because they both face a similar future of imprisonment without intervention. This empathy creates the possibility for transformation for man and beast. In this documentary, inmate Chris Culcasi struggles towards a brighter future while his horse, Zephyr, follows a parallel path.
